Mercer’s Executive Benefits Group (EBG) is a US practice, providing consulting services focused on the benchmarking, design, financing, administration and regulatory compliance of executive benefit and deferred compensation plans.

EBG consults with over 600 clients annually, enabling team members to see emerging trends in all areas of the executive benefits arena, and offers services and solutions in the following areas:

Prevalence and value-based comparisons provide the varying levels of information needed to create competitive benefits offerings including executive life insurance, disability, long-term care, medical and perquisite. 

Mercer has created a unique database and analytical system - the Executive and Broad-based Employee Retirement Tool (EBeRT), which contains retirement plan information on qualified and nonqualified plans, and defined benefit, defined contribution plans, and voluntary deferral plans for more than 1,100 U.S. for-profit companies. EBeRT is one component of Mercer’s Executive Benefits benchmarking resource. Mercer also conducts an annual End of Year Executive Compensation Survey. This survey extensively covers executive health and welfare benefits and perquisite practices for both publicly traded and privately held companies. Prevalence and benefit levels for the following elements are included:

  • Short- and Long-term Disability 
  • Medical
  • Long-term care 
  • Perquisites

The survey is conducted each year in October/November and complimentary results are sent the following January/February.
