RECORDED: 25 July 2019
OVERVIEW
Congress is racing to push through a broad range of health care and retirement reforms before the August break and the unofficial kickoff to the campaign season. Proposals in play include the biggest retirement bill in 15 years (the SECURE Act) and numerous health care reforms intended to end surprise medical bills, lower drug prices, improve the transparency of healthcare cost and quality information, and repeal the Affordable Care Act’s “Cadillac” tax. Meanwhile, President Trump and federal agencies are pressing forward with numerous policy changes for health, retirement and executive reward programs, but current action in the courts could reshape these programs.
Mercer’s Law & Policy Group experts will discuss these and other issues during this live web briefing on July 25, 1–2 pm ET.
We’ll also share results of Mercer’s recent spot survey on the use of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics in incentive plans and provide an update on say-on-pay results for 2019 proxy season.
