Arrivals and networking. Opportunity to discuss pre-read materials with others. Room will be setup with thought provoking Digital material to generate excitement and energize participants (AI examples in everyday life through images and videos, AI use cases for CHROs, etc.)

8:30 - 9:05am

Making it real for the CHRO

Defining the AI landscape with everyday life examples and in HR using employee lifecycle in an organization as a guide. Review survey results and setup breakout session tracks – 1-2 journeys. Introduce Design Thinking concepts.

9:05 - 9:30am

Fireside chat

Discussion with Mercer, featuring an HR executive with a first hand perspective on implementing AI in their organization. Insights, perspectives, successes and challenges of the journey. Possible candidate – Marcelo Modica, Mercer CHRO discussing “Ask Aimee” chatbot implementation  Depending on logistics, fireside chat could be featured after Debrief session as an alternative

9:30 - 9:45am Comfort break / Networking opportunity
9:45 - 11:25am

Breakout sessions

Design Thinking sessions led by Mercer facilitator(s) to deep dive into journeys that represent common pain points for CHROs (based on the survey).  

11:25 - 11:50am Debrief from breakout sessions and synthesize learnings.
11:50 - 12:00pm

Wrap up and Learnings

Send off with final thoughts and takeaways. Follow the value; AI isn’t magic, data quality is critical; humans + machines; bigger data sets to train AI for smaller companies key principles – find the pain points; start with the problem, not the technology;  problem > plan > iterate;  it’s more roadmap than technology.
