Vali Nourishad Named 2018 Power Broker Winner
Vali Nourishad has been named one of Risk & Insurance Magazine’s 2018 Power Broker Winners, an annual award program recognizing the most effective and influential commercial insurance brokers in the industry. Vali has been honored in the Employee Benefits category—one of the most competitive—and joins a prestigious list of previous Mercer honorees.
As a senior consultant and relationship manager based in Southern California, Vali works with mid-market employers to help them design and manage effective health and benefit programs. Vesna Mardjonovic, total rewards manager for Zodiac Pool Solutions and a self-proclaimed tough customer, was impressed with Vali’s service. He presented 64 options for executive review in just two weeks for a program that gave employees a benefits allowance they could spend according to their own needs, including high- and low-deductible plans, medical, dental, vision, and flexible spending accounts. “Our CFO was amazed,” said Ms. Mardjonovic.

The Power Broker designation is based on nominations provided by brokers and risk managers, and is judged based on the quality of the application and references by risk managers in each industry sector. Individuals were judged primarily on their creativity in solving risk-related problems during 2017, their industry knowledge, and their high level of client service.
