Mercer invites you to join us on Thursday, September 26, for our Annual Legislative and Compliance Update.
Regulatory and legislative changes continue to have a significant impact on employers. We will focus this session on ensuring you are up-to-date on the significant number of health care and other benefits-related provisions that will impact employers through 2019 and beyond.
WASHINGTON STATE FAMILY LEAVE ACT
In addition to Senior Attorney and Compliance Specialist Wade Symons, this year our presentation will also feature experts from Mercer’s Life, Absence and Disability (LAD) Practice who will provide us with the latest information and resources on Washington’s Paid Family Leave Act, which goes into effect on January 1, 2020. The Mercer LAD team has extensive experience helping employers with the implementation and ongoing support for both mandated and company-developed leave policies. In addition to family and statutory disability leave, the LAD team also supports clients across the country (both public and private sector) with mandated Sick Leave, PTO requirements, Parental Leave, Return to Work and ADAAA.
WHAT ELSE WILL I LEARN?
Highlights will also include:
- The latest on the health policy landscape from Washington D.C.
- Regulatory update including new HRA guidance, HSA guidance, regulations coming per the recent Executive Order on transparency, and cost of living changes to plan limits
- Health policy update including surprise medical bill legislation and drug manufacturer’s coupons
- Helpful case studies that practically apply laws and regulations, including recent ACA litigation
A confirmation email will be provided to attendees following the event, for purposes of self-reporting HRCI credit.
